It recently occurred to me that January 4th is coming up really soon, and January 4th is the day my paranormal My Immortal Assassin comes out. I suppose I ought to pimp the book. But how? What should I do? This author turns to you to select options in my scientific super-duper accurate and helpful poll.

I have this suspicion your comments would also be helpful. Feel free to add suggestions.
Giving away the current release makes most sense, but then so does eating lots of chocolate, and tweeting about it. 😛 I’m no help!
I don’t know what you should do, but I know that *I* plan to give the new book away on my blog. Maybe the whole series. I just love these books so much! Love, love, love!
Blog tours are great. They get your name out there a LOT over a couple week period.
[…] This post was mentioned on Twitter by Carolyn Jewel, Rachel Jameson. Rachel Jameson said: RT @cjewel: Poll! Best way to pimp my book . . . Yes, this is a shameless cry for help. http://bit.ly/eNH9iy […]
I’ve already pre-ordered! I think chocolate helps everything. The other ideas look good, but I have no idea which work best.
How can ‘Eat Lots of Chocolate” be number one? We want giveaways, people! So excited, Carolyn! Can’t wait 🙂
In honor of your upcoming release I would do a contest and give away either a Kindle or Sony eReader. 😀
Thanks for the suggestions and support. In light of the current choice leader “eat lots of chocolate” I have done just that.
Tessa Dare made a homemade book video this past summer that went viral, even on Sci-Fi sites. You could consider enlisting/challenging your Brilliant Offspring to help you make one. Of course, giving away Chocolate is always a plan.
Sadly, I am not clever like Tessa Dare. Also, my son does not play with dolls. He’s 15. A video with him would be mostly **eye rolls** “Mommmm.” Any ideas involving chocolate are good ones, though.
Some ideas that may or may not be *good* ideas:
–each day post a “little known fact” about the characters in this book, or the other books. (surely you have more info about them than fits between the covers of the books?)
–another possible poll: which demon hottie do you like best? One lucky commenter wins a copy of the book.
–on fb, post mirco-excerpts (25-30 wrds).
–I don’t know about you all, but I like shoes. Maybe, um, you could find shoes on the internets that you think Grayson would like or wear and tweet the links? Okay, so this is a totally self-serving idea. 🙂
–do you ever wonder what was the first paranormal/sf/fantasy book your readers read? I’m always curious what books influenced readers.
Okay, I’ll stop. And maybe have some chocolate.
Oh my gosh, you’re brilliant! Those are great ideas, thanks!
