My short story, The King’s Dragon is live at Heroes and Heartbreakers. You can read it for free (registration required) at the H&H website. Go read it and let me know what you think. Comments here or there would be pretty awesome. I’d love to know what you think.

That story is sooo good! I loved it.
Will you write a novel set in that world?
The world of The King’s Dragon is from a proposal I sent to my now current agent when I was looking for new representation. We haven’t shopped it because she feels, given that it would be a change of genre for me, I’d have to submit on the basis of a complete MS, and since she’s been selling my other projects, I haven’t been able to do that. But I want to. And now that I’ve written this short, I want to even more.
I’m going to have to find a way to get that done.
@Jill : Thanks!!
OOOOOO! Loved it. Left me wanting to know what happens next. Now its a toss up…do I like Nikodemus and his fiends the best or Dal Atul and his world???
Jill
What wonderful characters!! I absolutely loved this and it left me wanting more, more, more of Dal Atul and his lady. Please continue with the story!
I loved this short story. I must admit to never having read anything by you before, but I’m gonna have to. Though I must also admit to hoping that you do get a chance to continue with Dal Atul and his lady.
@Kim: Thank you for your lovely words. I do have some other free reads on my website. If you do end up reading some of my novels, I hope you enjoy them!
I wanted to read more, Carolyn. I, too, hope you do get to writing a series based on this.
Please, please turn it into a novel! A series – even better! Thank you!
Thanks! I sure hope to.
