Carolyn’s Black Friday Specials for Writers and Readers

Oh, what the hey.

I’m giving away the following:

ETA: I encourage authors (who I know don’t normally enter other author contests) to get your comment in for the movie. If you want an ARC, no problem, but I’m aiming to get more Romance authors aware of how Bollywood takes on Romance. bwahahahah!

1. 3 ARCS of Not Wicked Enough (you agree to write and post an honest review!)

2. Movie Poster for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi DVD of Rab Ne Bana di Jodi. This should play anywhere. It’s a really, really cute movie and if you’re at all interested in Bollywood films, it’s great a introduction. I urge writers to enter this contest, too, by the way.

Here’s a post with my review of the movie.

The Rules

1. Void where prohibited. Must be 18 or older to enter. No purchase necessary.
2. For the ARC, since it is for review, you agree to post an honest review of the book.
3. International entries OK. I believe the DVD will play anywhere, if not, I will do my best to get you a DVD that will.

To Enter

Leave a comment to this post by midnight Pacific time on Saturday November 26. You should indicate whether you’re in for the movie only, the ARC only or want a shot at both. If you know a good joke, please tell it. Jokes appreciated but not required.

Facebook makes it hard to do contests, so if you’re seeing this on FB, vist my blog to leave a comment that gets you in the contest.

  2. Susan Voss says:

In for the ARC please. It is very cool of you to run a contest.

  3. I am entering to win the Bollywood movie, to get to the bottom of how it this style of movies has so bewitched you! However, I’m snapping up my own damn copy of NOT WICKED ENOUGH so don’t enter me in that part. I’m excited for your release! Also, I googled and found a Bollywood joke for you that I totally don’t understand!

In 1975, 3 Birds were flying and suddenly dies and fell down.

    so simple….

In SHOLAY, Gabbar had shot 3 bullets in Air.

  4. Lindsey E says:

I love historicals and just adored Grace Burrowes Virtuoso (really all her books) so I would read Not Wicked Enough. I have yet to see a Bollywood movie but I love your reviews, since they make me laugh.

  5. Amy Kathryn says:

I would like an ARC, please. You don’t have to win me over on the Bollywood movies.

    Q. What’s full of raisins and on a secret mission?

    A. Mince Spy

(Please don’t punish me for that)

  6. Tracey Galbraith says:

I’m in for one or the other…or both…if I have to choose, since I have Dark and Handsome dreams pretty often of Arjun Rampal, I guess I’d pick an ARC because I’ve never had one!

A joke? Keeping with a Thanksgiving theme at our house, having an Aggie husband and a UT Longhorn daughter:

What do Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies have in common?

They both applied for college at UT! (courtesy of my daughter Bristol)

  7. Nicola O. says:

I would love a shot at the ARC, but will leave the DVD for someone who’d appreciate it more.

Q: Where do generals keep their armies?

    A: In their sleevies!
