I’m working hard on Not Proper Enough. ACK!!!!!

I also have edits for Future Tense which I need to work in. ACK!!!!!

Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I’ll have covers to show you for the digital releases of my Crimson City novel (A Darker Crimson) and novella (DX). Stay tuned!

I’ve seen the preliminary cover for Not Proper Enough, by the way. It’s very pretty. I’m hoping to have a final cover for Not Wicked Enough in the next couple of weeks.

Somehow, there are never enough hours in the day, and right now, in the writing, I’m often deleting as much as I write, so word count is not what I would like it to be, though it does mean the words I do have are better, and that’s always good. The story is maturing, and that’s a relief.

And, in the What’s In It For You category, fairly soon I’ll be having some contests for Bollywood movie Rab Ne Bana di Jodi because I ended up with an extra copy and it’s a GREAT movie. I also have an extra Petaluma Pie shirt. The Facebook winner never contacted me. Possibly a cake, too.

And now, back to work.

News from Jewel Central

1. I have sent the UNCENSORED version of Future Tense off to be edited. Hopefully I remembered to blog that I was putting back and writing the sex scenes that were left out of the original version. Forever was uncomfortable with a free offering having sex, which I totally get. The uncensored version of Future Tense is pretty hot and, of course, I ended up doing a fairly extensive rewrite. It’s a few thousand words longer and is just about novella length.

2. The updated Future Tense will also have a new cover. I have the draft and it is awesome, especially since I was at last able to find a totally hunky man of Asian descent. Bonus for him having an Angel Script tat on his back. I can’t wait until I can show it to you!

3. I should have the final cover for Not Wicked Enough soon, plus the book has gotten some lovely blurbs.

4. Look for some more backlist titles from me soon

5. Not Proper Enough is beginning to gel, but panic is setting in. ACCKKKK!!!

Hunky Model with Mystery Tat

OK, so I’m using the photo below (have purchased all rights) to use for/in the cover of “Future Tense: The uncensored version.” If possible, I’d like to know what his tat says. It’s not Chinese, but maybe’s it’s Thai? or something? I think it’s cool but I might have to have it photoshopped out. Does anyone know what it might say or represent? I would be grateful to know. I’m just so thrilled to have found an ethnic model because I tell you, I spent a LONG time looking for an image like this. I’ve shrunk down the photo considerably, but it’s still large enough to see.

P.S. Sorry to all the people I stupidly told I thought it was Chinese. I was going off memory and once I looked at it, yeah, obviously that’s totally not Chinese.

All I Need is a Hot Asian Man, Is that Too Much to Ask?

I need a cover for the digital version of Future Tense.

The hero of that story is a demon who looks to be of Asian/Tibetan descent. It’s a Romance and he’s a demon so of course he is insanely hot.

I have spent the last MONTH looking for stock art of a hot Asian guy that won’t cost me 800 Euros. I would like the model to have long black hair, but at this point, I’m thinking bald would work. I’m getting desperate. In my dreams (heh) he would be with a blond woman. That’s just the reality of my story, OK?

I can find all manner of good looking Asian men doing the follow things:

1. Looking like a geek/nerd
2. Doing Martial Arts
3. Looking like a skinny geek/nerd
4. Talking on a phone.

That’s pretty much it. It’s like no where in the whole world is a stock photo of a hot muscly Asian guy in casual clothes where the subtext is “I am hotter than heck and you want to have sex with me.”

I do NOT want a white guy in the image. Even the headless white quys don’t have skin that passes for Asian-looking demon.

ArghHHHH!!!!!

Seriously, What The F???

I don’t want to whitewash my cover.

Do you have any ideas? (No, I CANNOT steal an image.)
