Updates and Pretty Pictures

I’ve been busy revising Bound in Smoke and I’m really happy with it, just saying. My cover artist has started work on the cover, and that’s really exciting.

Last weekend I was at a writing intensive near San Diego. We rented a house right on the beach and spent the weekend talking business. I hadn’t realized how isolated I’d become from being around other writers and it was lovely and invigorating. Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend:

I took these photos standing on the various patios of the house so you can see I am not kidding about the house being right on the beach.

One of the many takeaways from the weekend was a reminder of how important it is to be around other writers talking about writing and books and the business.

Photomontage or How I know Spring is Coming

Here in Sonoma County we just don’t get much snow. Like, supposedly, ever. But we woke up this morning to the picture below, which I took from our deck. Some fellow twitters reminded me how lucky I am to live in a house with a view like this. Sometimes I take it for granted. After that are some other pictures I took. If the plum trees are blooming, spring really is on its way.

Getting Down to The Wire

Yup. Down to the Wire. But the fork will be out soon. Standby for that. There will be a wild celebration after that. Which is, admittedly, not quite yet.

In the meantime three pictures I took today when I was out with the camera and said, gee, I wonder what that button does? Oh.

Making Progress!

Still writing, freaking writing.

Also, The Next Historical will, I believe, officially be titled Sinful but that’s not official yet. It is, however, more official than The Next Historical.
