Ah, Sunday mornings, you are bittersweet

Sunday, March 15th, 2009

I’m looking to change my blogging habits because even though I prefer end-of-day, by that time that rolls around, I’m often too tired to blog. We’ll see how that works out.

The Sunday morning thing – yes, I love them because I get to sleep in. But then I realize that the next day I have to go to work and the mood turns bittersweet. I’ve skipped breakfast this particular Sunday because I’m thinking I’ll take Soccer Boy out to breakfast when he finally wakes up, that is. It might end up being lunch.

Yesterday, I went to my local RWA chapter meeting, the San Francisco Area RWA chapter where the speaker was Maya Banks What a great speaker! She had loads and loads of fascinating insights about her career and how she approaches her writing that were really invaluable things for any writer to hear. She’s the first writer I’ve ever heard talk specifically about the economics of ePub vs. print pub (she’s both) and it made me really think that doing both, with a deliberate plan in place, is a very wise thing to do. Also, as it turned out, I actually knew her from an online RWA chapter under her non-writing name which was a blast to find out.

The Cat Who Thinks My Chair Is His has me once again perched on the very edge of my chair:
Jake The Cat on My Chair I keep my bathrobe and my snuggie on my chair, which I’m sure only adds to its appeal, but really. Can’t he share?
